Kasagi Sight-Seeing Navigation　No.4　Hydrangea Cluster

   If you walk on the Tokai Long-Distance Footpath from the stone steps near the main gate of Kasagi Temple for just 2 minutes, you will reach a hydrangea cluster, covering the hillside, spotted with tall cedar trees.  The local people have spent many years increasing the number of hydrangea trees by laboriously planting or grafting cuttings.  In the rainy season, all of the hillside is colored in blue.  It has become a hidden beauty spot for those in the know.
