Kasagi Sight-Seeing Navigation No.1 Kyoto Prefecture’s Mount Kasagi Natural Park
[2022年6月28日]
Mount Kasagi is a slightly low mountain, 288 meters above sea level, dotted with huge numbers of strangely-shaped and gigantic granite rocks. This place has been a Shugen dojo (a training center for Buddhist monks seeking asceticism) and has been designated as a mountain of worship. There are broadleaf trees, such as oaks and Japanese laurels, growing on the grounds.
Of course, you can drive to the mountaintop, which has a car park. On foot, it takes 45 minutes to climb from JR Kasagi Station to the top. On the trail, you will feel invigorated and refreshed by the cool wind rustling through the trees.
Cost:
500 Yen for a family car
200 Yen for a motorbike
1,000 Yen for a microbus
